PETALING JAYA: AmBank Group chairman Tan Sri Azman Hashim won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 4th Annual Islamic Business and Finance Awards 2009.
Azman said: “It is certainly an honour for me to receive this award, as it is an acknowledgment of our staff’s commitment and contributions that have led to the phenomenal growth of this sector especially during one of the most challenging periods in the history of banking and finance.In a statement, AmBank Group said the awards ceremony, organised by the publisher of Islamic Business & Finance CPI Financial, took place on Dec 14 in Dubai.
He had also been named the Most Outstanding Individual for Contribution to Islamic Finance during the Kuala Lumpur Islamic Finance Forum Awards 2009.
